OBRA OBSCURA is a creative studio based in Brooklyn, New York; founded in 2009 by interdisciplinary artist Natalie Fragola.
Obra Obscura's mission is to utilize age-old techniques with unconventional design. In addition to our collaborations and services, we create housewares, clothing, and jewelry that marry aesthetics and practicality. All work is produced by hand in New York City, with an emphasis on sustainable methods and environmental responsibility.
Natalie Fragola is a first generation Argentine-American, raised in Pittsburgh, PA. She began her studies in biology and finished with dual BFAs in Fibers and Fashion Design from the Savannah College of Art and Design.
